Happy Birthday Michelle!!
|
|
Last night at 12 midnight we celebrated Michelle's birthday. She's 20 now!! soon the rest of us (excluding Vina) will join the club too. The celebration was great. They called up everyone to their room. Arul ordered a huge heart-shaped chocolate cake! I baked the instant cake that I bought when I was in the states. It was an instant cake and it tasted GREAT!
So here are pictures of us having a wonderful time!
PRESENT TENSE (believe it!!)

Mother's Day Special
|
|
| Quote: | The Original Mother's Day Proclamation - Julia Ward Howe
From the voice of a devastated Earth a voice goes up with
Our own. It says: "Disarm! Disarm!
The sword of murder is not the balance of justice."
Blood does not wipe our dishonor,
Nor violence indicate possession.
As men have often forsaken the plough and the anvil at the summons of war,
Let women now leave all that may be left of home
For a great and earnest day of counsel.
Let them meet first, as women, to bewail and commemorate the dead.
Let them solemnly take counsel with each other as to the means
Whereby the great human family can live in peace... |
I think we had an early celebration for Mother's day this year. It was organised by PPIM-MSC and almost all the sisters were there. It was a bit different from the rest of Mother's day celebrations I have experienced so far. It was great. Muhasabah diri. There was even a 10-minute clip about our parents. We had to give them our parents' pictures without knowing the real reason of doing so. It was really a nice suprise. For those who know me, yea.. I cried! Missing home a whole lot more than before
Mak, ayah.. hope you guys are doing great. What am I talking about..?? Of course you guys are!! Ayah's not working anymore. Mak has ayah at home 24/7 !! ( I bet she's happier than ever!!)
Angah.. I don't miss you as much!
haha.. kidding.. of course I miss you guys. ALLLL of you guys. Can't wait to hug Farihin (my nephew). Can't wait to ask along and k maria to treat me dinner!!
Uda - belanja dinner jugaaak!
Ok.. guess this is just it for now. Oh yeah. We're all quite busy with this Malysian Nite thingy. It'll be this sunday. Found a dress to wear. Will make a few entries especially for THE NITE!!
and this is my MOMMY !!
And lastly.. Ya Allah.. Help me to be a better person.. AMIN

LIFE...
| Quote: | Life is a multi-faceted concept that may refer to the ongoing process of which living things are a part or the period between fertilisation or mitosis and death.
A conventional definition
While there is no universal agreement on the definition of life, scientists generally accept that the biological manifestation of life exhibits the following phenomena:
Organization - Living things are comprised of one or more cells, which are the basic units of life.
Metabolism - Metabolism produces energy by converting nonliving material into cellular components (synthesis) and decomposing organic matter (catalysis). Living things require energy to maintain internal organization (homeostasis) and to produce the other phenomena associated with life.
Growth - Growth results from a higher rate of synthesis than catalysis. A growing organism increases in size in all of its parts, rather than simply accumulating matter.
Adaptation - Adaptation is the accommodation of a living organism to its environment. It is fundamental to the process of evolution and is determined by the individual's heredity.
Response to stimuli - A response can take many forms, from the contraction of a unicellular organism when touched to complex reactions involving all the senses of higher animals. A response is often expressed by motion: the leaves of a plant turning toward the sun or an animal chasing its prey.
Reproduction - The division of one cell to form two new cells is reproduction. Usually the term is applied to the production of a new individual (either asexually, from a single parent organism, or sexually, from two differing parent organisms), although strictly speaking it also describes the production of new cells in the process of growth.

Spring 2006
|
|
| Quote: | Spring is one of the four seasons of temperate zones. Astronomically, it begins with the spring equinox (around March 20 in the Northern Hemisphere, and September 23 in the Southern Hemisphere), and ends with the summer solstice (around June 21 in the Northern Hemisphere and December 21 in the Southern Hemisphere). In meteorology, it is by convention instead counted as the whole months of March, April, and May in the Northern Hemisphere and September, October, and November in the Southern Hemisphere. However, in the Irish Calendar it is counted as the whole months of February, March and April.
